90% of Girlpaua's Paua Shell Jewellery is designed and handcrafted in Scotland by Mhairi, who lives in Glasgow with her partner ... who is of course from New Zealand! Scotland & New Zealand are very closely linked and, according to statistics, of the population that are identified as NZ Europeans about 2.6 million people (two thirds) are the descendants of the first Scots to settle in Dunedin in the South Island, NZ back in 1848!
